We are delighted to present to you, The Orpheus, 1st Floor addition of The Harp Bar. Fresh Interiors designed and created the current Harp Bar in 2013 and were commissioned yet again to design the Interior of the extension which began in earnest back in 2017 and completed in June 2018.
The Harp bar located in Hill Street Belfast (Cathedral Quarter), was formerly Nicks Warehouse, a very successful and popular restaurant back in the early 90’s, which was dramatically transformed to now become known as one of Belfast’s most popular bars – if not the best bar in town!
The recently opened New extension was to transform a disused office building into an extension of the current Harp bar, incorporating a number of the clients’ artefacts into the design to maintain a ‘Victorian Belfast’ theme. The works consisted over three floors and involved extending the bar on the ground & first floor to seamlessly merge with the existing bars, as well as the creation of an art gallery and staff accommodation quarters on the second and third floors.
‘The Harp Bar is built on heritage and brings heritage to life within the Cathedral Quarter. The sensitivity of rescuing artefacts from older buildings and bringing them to life within the thriving Cathedral Quarter, allows the legacy of the Belfast of bygone days, to live on’.
Nestled within the popular Cathedral Quarter area The Orpheus & Ground Floor extension is a welcome addition which compliments the existing ‘Harp Bar’ and our other projects ‘The Friend At Hand’, ‘The Dark Horse’ & ‘Gallagher’s Lounge’ (Duke Of York Pub) all which are literally minutes walking distance form each other.
‘The real success in our work comes from working with clients over and over again. It’s this endorsement for our work and our partnership approach, that’s a testament to the dedication that we deliver time and time again’
